Tendonitis

Tendonitis, or inflammation of a tendon, is often associated with overuse, injury or strain of tendons that connect muscle to bone. When present, tendonitis can result in severe pain that may limit the patient’s ability to use the affected extremity.

Adlea has been studied in a clinical trial for the treatment of elbow tendonitis, for which there is no currently approved treatment. An estimated 1.25 million patients in the United States are affected with tendonitis of the elbow each year; approximately 10 percent require surgery.
